Finland's law emphasizes every individual's fundamental right to equal opportunities for sport. According to surveys, many young people from sexual and gender minorities still face discrimination and bullying in sport. In the SOURCE CIRCLE project, Circus Magenta would produce hobbies for 13-25 years old LGBTI youngsters. We would like to launch a variety of free of charge circus groups where everyone can be themselves in a safe environment. We would develop the interdisciplinary work in collaboration with Happi Pride. Happi Pride is HeSeta’s Youth Center, based in the Nuorten toimintakeskus Happi (Happi Youth Center).
The result of the vote will be taken into account when allocating the new activity contribution of Helsinki City, so all votes are needed. Thank you for your support for Sateenkaarisirkus!
