Disabled artists and artists who are Sign Language users, welcome to a party on 2nd June to Cultural Centre Caisa in Helsinki!

Time: Friday 2nd June 2023 from 17:00 to 19:00

Place: Cultural Centre Caisa (Kaikukatu 4 B, Helsinki), meeting room Maissi

The Making space for artistry -project and X Dance Festival invite you to meet other artists, network and celebrate the artistry to a relaxed evening together. The party is aimed especially at disabled artists and artists who are Sign Language users, but all artists are welcome.

There will be snacks and drinks available (no alcohol is served). In addition to spending time together freely, there will also be a short music performance by RRE at 17.30.

No pre-registration. Two Sign Language interpreters are available at the event (Finnish Sign Language).

The Cultural Centre Caisa has an accessible entrance from The Cultural Centre Caisa has an accessible entrance from Kaikukatu. Caisa’s entrance is at the Leipätehdas' courtyard, which has cobblestones. The space of the party is on the same floor as the main doors of Culture Center Caisa from Kaikukatu and the courtyard. If you need help finding the place, call Riikka Hänninen on 050 308 0232. The space is accessible. There are clear signs in the premises. It is possible to use an induction loop at the event. Assisting dogs are welcome.

About the performer: "My artist name RRE comes from words Rikotaan Rajoja (let's break the boundaries) and Elisa. I have founded Rikotaan Rajoja event. I have made music with computer since 2015. 14.2.2021 I published RNB/pop song Haaveita. Music is part of my identity and it empowers me alot. It really touches my emotions and moves me to tears."

Making space for artistry -project

The aim of the Making space for artistry -project is to strengthen the professional opportunities and equal status of disabled artists and artists who are Sign Language users in the field of art.
