The focus of the seminar is on how norm-critical thinking about ethnicity can be included in the practical and artistic theater work. What bodies are we used to watch in the scene? What stories are told? How can we raise our awareness and break the standards of representation in theater art?
The seminar is organized at Åbo Svenska Teater on Monday 29.1.2018 at 9.00-17.00. Seminar is the third education about norm critical thinking which Nätverket för tillgänglighet på teatern (network for accessibility at the theater) arranges together with Cefisto. The seminar is aimed at professionals performing arts and art students. The seminar consists of an inspiration lecture, a workshop and audience and panel discussion. Invited lecturers and workshop leaders include choreographer and art director Sonya Lindfors, dancer Julian Owusu, journalist Maryan Abdulkarim and sami activist Pauliina Feodoroff.
Seminar languages are Swedish and English. The seminar is free of charge.
