Information
The Finnish music field published in January 2018 the “Theses for promoting equality, non-discrimination and diversity in the music sector”. The aims of these theses are to advance the shared, equal future of the music industry in Finland.A working group consisting of music industry professionals has written the theses into their final form, and professionals in the music field have been invited to sign these theses. The project is coordinated by Music Finland. https://www.yhdenvertainenmusiikkiala.com/in-english

The Finnish Film Foundation (SES) launched in year 2016 a forum of accessibility. The forum consists of representatives of the disability organizations and of the film field (including also Culture for All). The aim of the forum is to compose a manual of accessibility for professionals on the film field. In the end of 2017 SES also launched a forum of equality in order to discuss equality issues on the film field. The aim of the forum is, besides to promote gender equality, to also address equality issues related to i.e. language, ethnicity and cultural background. The aim is to produce an equality working plan for the film industry, with recommendations on how to promote equality in the field. In February 2018 SES also published, together with other film organizations, recommendations for how to stop sexual harassment on the field of film and TV.
