Areas of expertise and interest: intercultural communication, heritage culture in childhood, plurilingualism, global education, multicultural communities, diversity in the workplace.

Adriana Minhoto is a communications professional with more than ten years of experience in the press office and online media. She has a specialization in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development, Intercultural Communication and is currently completing a master’s degree in Media Management.

Expertise in intercultural communication and media management provides her the tools to assess communication in culturally diverse groups and communities in order to understand and show the value in cultural differences. She facilitates cross-cultural workshops in diverse situations by  actively encouraging people to reflect.

Adriana is on the board of the Association of Portuguese Language Teachers in Finland and has volunteered for more than two years in a project for spreading Portuguese as a heritage language for children. From 2020 to 2023 Adriana worked as communications manager for Kulttuurikeskus Ninho ry.
