All in: Aesthetics and Methods in Inclusive Performing Arts. International symposium May 8, Cologne, Germany
Symposium focuses on the conditions for designing inclusive artistic work, specifically dance and (music) theatre, and its aesthetic opportunities. During lecture performances, workshops and rehearsal visits there will be raised the following questions: What new methods and ways of expression are created in the artistic work of mixed-abled dance and (music) theatre companies? How do they promote diversity among the audience? How do assistive devices become stylistic devices and what is the role of new technologies?

The symposium invites artists and arts professionals from the areas of dance and (music) theatre, representatives of cultural and educational organisations as well as the interested public to find out about the work of international artists and arts professionals and to enter into dialogue with each other.
At Programme lectures for example from Kaisa Leka, comic artist, Finland Sophia Alexandersson, ShareMusic and Performing Arts, Gränna (Sweden), Prof. Dr. Nathalie Mälzer, University of Hildesheim and Claire Cunningham, choreographer and dancer, Glasgow (Scotland).

Participation
Participation fee is 40 €. Persons with disabilities, with a Köln-Pass or a student card, unemployed persons and students pay 20 €. Persons who accompany disabled persons participate for free.

Accessibility
All locations are accessible for wheelchairs apart from the room for the workshop Inclusive surtitles. Simultaneous interpretation in German and English as well as GSL for all lectures and lecture performances in the morning and for selected events in the afternoon.
