RAMY – In the Frontline is back at Viirus with 4 performances 28.11-1.12!
During the
Arab Spring in 2011 the 22-year old Ramy Essam stood on Tahrir square, singing
his battle songs together with hundreds of thousands of other protesters.
The
Egyptian people insisted on having President Mubarak resigned. The violent
events of the revolution had a drastic impact on Ramy’s’ life and values.Today
Ramy spends his time between Finland and Sweden. In 2014 Sweden offered Ramy
safe haven and a scholarship to study music through a program for artists at
risk by ICORN. He continues touring different countries with his songs about
democracy and peace. In the live report Ramy – In the Frontline the audience
gets to meet him and take part in his story.
