Now: Side events of Studio Aleppo [Helsinki] 10.-16.8.2017
Alongside the Studio Aleppo [Helsinki] portrait exhibition, the National Museum of Finland is organising a series of participatory events on 10.–16.8. curated by MiklagardArts that deal with stories and the sharing of stories in their own way.
The National Museum of Finland’s Studio Aleppo [Helsinki] is part of an international series of events, the goal of which is to strengthen the importance of empathy and equality in the discussion concerning immigration. Studio Aleppo offers e.g. a Pop up photography studio at the National Museum, “Temporary Pavilion for Permanent Negotiations" by artists Kalleinen & Kochta-Kalleinen, singing together with Kassandra Choir, Story sharing café, workshops related to the living heritage or to the reframing the future of Finland. Apart of National Museum, the partner organizations include e.g. International cultural centre Caisa, Kassandra Choir and think tank DEMOS.
