The next period of application for plain language government support ends in January 2017
The centre for plain language Selkokeskus distributes the governmental support for plain language writers and publishers. Grants and financial aid are part of the governmental support Ministry of Education and Culture has delegated to The Finnish Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The aim is to further promote plain language and other accessible literature in Finland.
Support can be applied by the writers and illustrators of plain language literature, the creators of tactile books and plain language publishers. With certain limitations, financial support can be also granted to development and research projects concerning plain language literature.
The amount of the grants has typically varied from 600 to 4,000 euro.
The next application period is in January 2017. The period of application ends on 27 January 2017.
