Imatra City Library awarded as the Accessible Library of the Year 2016
Celia, the national center for accessible literature and publishing in Finland, has awarded Imatra City Library as the Accessible Library of the Year 2016. The award was given on 23 November on the Library day of Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Celia award is a prize given to a public library or a group of libraries that have notably improved the accessibility of library services. The Imatra City Library has planned and implemented the process of offering Celia talking books to its customers in an exemplary manner. The cd's and other formats can be easily found in the library and the whole personnel is committed to further develop accessible services.
The Celia prize is €2,000. Suggestions for next year's prize can be made from spring 2017 onwards.
