The Academic Master’s Programme provides students with knowledge and critical insights into the historical, political and scientific challenges, especially in discussing history and current state of cultural policy, administration, cultural research and arts management.
In the master's programme in Cultural Policy students achieve abilities to:
- Evaluate the positions of culture and cultural policy in societal and global transformation processes
- Compare and explore international and national systems of cultural policy and questions such as cultural economy, media and multiculturalism
- Analyse the historical development, theories and future of cultural phenomena and policies in various geographical and sectoral contexts
- Critically apply theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge
- Work creatively in international branches of culture
