Accessible! Queer! No age limit! Free! No drugs!
This time the club's theme is Own voice. We have a group of poets, writers and singers who perform their works. The performances are in Finnish.
Ulla Kolla
Sanni Purhonen
Nikola Sakko
Hanna Storm
A poetry workshop by Suvi Nurmi
Before the performances, at 17-19:
Words from the city rules and regulations will be turned into anarchist poetry in a workshop by the artist Suvi Nurmi. By choosing and rearranging the printed words, the law text is going to get a whole new meaning. Words available in the workshop are in Finnish but Nurmi has created ways for people who are visually impaired or can't speak Finnish to participate as well.
Open stage
After the performances there is Open stage: everyone can show their skills of for example read aloud something you enjoy.
No need for advance registration - unless there's some kind of technical or physical set-up you may need. Please email utopiahelsinki(a)gmail.com in advance. Everyone gets max. 15 minutes on Open stage in order to provide time for all performances.
The schedule:
At 17-19: Suvi Nurmi word art workshop
At 19-21: Performances: Ulla Kolla, Sanni Purhonen and poetry karaoke, Nikola Sakko, Hanna Storm
At 21-22: Open stage
