Art event against racism at Viirus theatre on 30th April, Helsinki

Viirus "manifestation mot rasism", event against racism, is an evening full of program where performing artists, writers, journalists and musicians perform for greater compassion and solidarity.

We take a stand against the racism that we experience today affect the public debate at an alarming rate. We want that Finland will be a country where people of different backgrounds, language, skin color, sexuality and religion can live on equal terms.

Program

Some of the guests of the evening: journalist and author Marianne Lydén, the photographer Niklas Meltio, stand-up comedian Ali Jahangiri, writer Malin Kivelä, documentary filmmaker and actor Ghatfan Ghanoom, film director Naima Muhamod, violinist Minna Pesola, dancer Dennis Nylund, actors Christopher Strandberg, Robert Cook and Marika Parkkomäki, Klockriketeatern and Eternal Erection, ending the evening with a concert and party.

Time and place

The event begins at 19.00 and ends after 23.00. Food and beverages sold during the break.

Location: Theatre Viirus, Meritullinkatu 33, Helsinki

Registration and entry fee

Please register beforehand to Viirus(a)viirus.fi.

Entry fee: any amount. Fees will be given to the UNHCR, the UN refugee agency.
