Alito Alessi will teach how to lead mixed-abilities dance, movement and theater groups in the DanceAbility method. He has been teaching the DanceAbility Teacher Certification course around the world since 1996. This Course is for people who want to teach integrated groups (people with and without disabilities) in movement arts, or learn a model for facilitating communities that foster inclusive participation. The course covers clear methods and techniques for teaching dance that allow every body's natural movement to emerge supporting individual and group expression.

Training Includes:

  • Foundation for improvising and performance-making in diverse groups of people with and without disabilities
  • Integrating Contact Improvisation with mixed abilities
  • How to plan and teach classes for all levels, and all abilities
  • How to lead performance-making projects, including outdoor performances
