Ealli biras is The Local Heritage Book of the Year
Ealli biras - "Living environment" - "Sámi Culture Environment Program", edited by Päivi Magga and Eija Ojanlatva has been chosen to be the The Local Heritage Book of the Year.
The winner was chosen among five finalists by Seppo Puttonen, literature journalist of YLE. The finalists were chosen by jury chosen by The Finnish Local Heritage Federation.
The articles of the book are about the history and current situation of the Sámi areas and present different places from the viewpoint of Sámi culture.
