Culture Has an Impact! Celebration seminar

Welcome to Culture Has an Impact! ­seminar. The international seminar introduces different operational models of culture and their impact on the social, mental and physical wellbeing in different age groups. The seminar presents the results of studies on the impact of circus and culture and showcases how museum pedagogy works in a hospital ward and how circus is integrated into the working culture of schools and nursing homes. The seminar also offers presentations from circus researchers from all over the world, including a presentation on one the largest social circus programs in the world, Cirque du Monde by Cirque du Soleil.

The seminar is organized in collaboration with Tampere University´s Centre for Practise as Research in Theatre and Aladdin´s Lamp of Tampere Region, which is formed by the city of Tampere, the municipality of Lempäälä, and Culture Centre Pii Poo.

You are also warmly invited to take part in an evening reception hosted by the city of Tampere on Friday 13th of December as part of the seminar. The reception is organized in Teatterimonttu.
