The World Village Festival is "The festival of the Year 2014"

The board of Finland Festivals has named Helsinki-based World Village Festival to be the "Festival of the Year 2014".

"World Village Festival combines without prejudice different cultures by forms of music, food and speech. The festival guarantees access to all kinds of people. The festival does not avoid difficult themes and debates different issues of the world. The festival cooperates with different associations."

World Village Festival is a family festival has been arranged since 1995. It is free of charge and one of the biggest festivals in Finland. It gathers annually 60 000 -80 000 visitors. The themes of 2014 are climate and Latin America.
