TUNTUMAA - visual art exhibition for visually impaired children and youth

The Tuntumaa exhibition is made and designed for visually impaired children and youth, but it offers all the viewers to explore the world of senses. All the artworks of the Tuntumaa exhibition are made to of touchable. You can move or taste some of the artworks. Poetry portraits based on the artworks and artwork labels are printed in finnish by normal text and brailles.
 
The Artists of the Tuntumaa exhibition are Sanna Heikintalo and Jaana Teräväinen, Maarit Hedman, Kirsi Jaakkola, Mervi Kuittinen-Karivirta, Hilda Kozari, Kari Mäkiranta and Veijo Setälä.

Curating of the exhibition was part of the Master degree of Marika Leinonen-Vainio for the Aalto University of Finland. The production was organised by Pori Centre for Children´s Culture - The Network of Children´s Culture in Satakunta, member of the nationwide children´s culture network Aladdin´s Lamp.
