In the interdisciplinary master's and doctoral programmes in cultural policy students achieve abilities to:

  • evaluate the position of culture and cultural policy in societal transformation processes in public, private and third sectors
  • compare and explore international and national systems of cultural policy and questions of cultural economy
  • analyze the historical development and future of cultural policy in various geographical and sectoral contexts
  • critically apply theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge in working creatively in internationalizing branches of culture

We provide students with knowledge and critical insights into the socio-cultural, political and scientific challenges of analyzing cultural policy and management. Students become professionals and specialists in the field of cultural policy research and expertise. Graduates are able to work and participate in a contemporary world and develop social and cultural institutions and organizations to meet the questions and demands of the 21st century.
