Grants for art projects promoting multiculturalism admitted
The Subcommittee for Multiculturalism of the Arts Council of Finland has admitted 100 000 euros as grants for art projects promoting multiculturalism for the year 2011. There were 97 applications and 41 applicant received a grant.
The admitted grants are ment for strengthening the possibilities of artists with immigrant background and of artists from Finnish national minorities to pursue artistic actions and to participate in Finnish art scene equally. The purpose is also to promote art projects which promote multiculturalism and the interaction between cultures in Finland. More information in Finnish.
