Making Cultural Heritage Truly Inclusive
Prospects of accessibility in Nordic museums
Conference to be held in
Society and the population structure are changing. Whose right to a cultural heritage will be at stake in the future? What are the accessibility issues concerning our cultural heritage? Who have fallen through the net? The aim of the conference is also to evaluate the effects of realized projects and to promote Nordic change of experiences.
The conference addresses the current objectives of accessibility in the cultural heritage field. The conference is targeted at the cultural service providers and at anyone who is interested in the accessibility of cultural sites. Future target groups and overlooked obstacles will be afforded special attention at the conference.
The conference is organized by the Finnish National Gallery, the National Museum of Finland and the Finnish Museums Association. It is part of the Finnish presidency programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers and it is supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education, the Nordic Council of Ministers and by the organizers.
