Changes in arts funding at KUVI (formerly Taike) – online information session, 12 Feb

Welcome to Changes in peer review system of arts funding – online information session in English, Thursday 12 February 2026, 14:00–15:00

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute merged on 1 January 2026 to the new organization: the Finnish Arts and Culture Agency (KUVI). KUVI continues the funding work previously done by Taike. But the peer review system used in arts funding will change from 1 July 2026.

The reform will have a strong impact on how applications by individual artists are reviewed and assessed. In the future, advisory expert panels will be formed from a newly structured pool of experts, using new rules and ways of working. From March 2026 onwards, the new pool of experts will be built through both nominations and an open call. This means that artists themselves can apply to become part of the expert pool and contribute their expertise to future funding decisions.

To support transparency and shared understanding of the reform, KUVI invites artists, arts professionals, organisations and other stakeholders to an online information session in English on Thursday 12 February 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00.
