Kone Foundation aims to make their application process accessible

Kone Foundation wants to ensure that funding for professional artistic work is accessible to people from diverse backgrounds and starting points.
We consider the accessibility of the application process from different sensory perspectives, for example: the Finnish-language info session in the spring was interpreted into Finnish Sign Language, and we have made a subtitled instruction video on how to fill in the application form.
How else do we take accessibility into account in the application process and evaluation, especially from the perspective of artists? Read more in the column by Grant Specialist Silja Pasila and Research and Arts Funding Specialist Maija Karasvaara.
The deadline for applications is 15.9.2025.
