About the seminar
Dance – watched, experienced and experimented – functions as a medium for understanding and strengthening children’s and young people’s identities through embodiment. The collaboration between artists, schools and communities offers opportunities for the applied use of dance in different subjects through phenomenon-based learning.
The Espoo-based Glims & Gloms dance theatre will be hosting a seminar on this theme together with NOBA (Nordic-Baltic Dance Network for Young Audiences). The seminar, which is directed to artists, culture workers and school teachers, aims to introduce, give new ideas and function as a meeting place for artists and teachers. The seminar offers an opportunity to meet artists and discuss the possibilities that dance has to offer.
The seminar will present some already materialized and ongoing projects and funding possibilities of audience outreach in Finland and the Nordic countries.
