Children in Museums at the Hands On! Conference

Hands On! Conference, 13 - 16 October 2015, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Join Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums and 300 museum professionals from over 30 countries at the 10th Hands On! Conference. Discover the latest developments in the field of children's education in museums worldwide.

The theme is Touch and Learn

This year's theme is Touch and Learn, focusing on questions many museums are currently facing. How can museums touch the hearts and minds of children? What roles do sensory experience and technology play? Together we will explore how to encourage creativity and lifelong learning in children.

Conference ticket includes 3 keynotes, 20 lectures, 30 workshops and visits to 30 of the best (children's) museums and science centres in the Netherlands. Social programming includes dinners, parties and the Children in Museums Award Ceremony.

Organizers

Main organizers of the conference are the Rijksmuseum and the Jewish Historical Museum, in cooperation with Science Center NEMO, the National Maritime Museum and the Dutch Museums Association.
