Events for all!
A new checklist helps events to evaluate and develop their work
The checklist is a tool, which can be used to evaluate the accessibility and the diversity of the event or festival. The checklist can also be used in planning the event. The questions of the checklist are about strategic work and planning, diversity aspects, communication, pricing, customer service and ticket sales, the event area and premises and furniture/fittings, and to the accessibility of the performances and other contents of the program.
The checklists are available at Culture for All website as DOC and PDF:
in Finnish
in Swedish
The checklist has been produced by Culture for All Service.
Culture for All Service and Finland Festivals published a new accessibility guide for cultural festivals (in Finnish) in June. The checklist is part of this guide. The guide offers help for example for communication and pricing solutions and for organizing audio description and sign language interpretation to performances. The guide also includes information about planning the solutions of the built environment. Diversity questions are also included for example regarding the recruitment processes. The guide is available in Finnish.
