Statistics on diversity from the audiovisual industry
Diversity in Finnish Films and TV-series in 2020 -statistics were published two weeks ago. The statistics give insight into the visibility of minorities in the characters of Finnish films and TV-series in 2020.
Audiovisual Producers Finland - APFI commissioned the statistics from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences' film and television students. When compared to the statistics of 2019, very little change has happened. Minority representation is extremely scarce and the ways of representation in stories and characters are one-sided.
