The Art Testers bring all the 8th graders in Finland to visit art
During three years, the unique Art Testers project (Taidetestaajat in Finnish) will bring all 8th grade Finnish students to art exhibitions.
- This can be quite unique in the world as well. I have never heard of the same degree in any similar, Hanna Korsberg, professor of theater science at the University of Helsinki, commented on the big project
During the first year, over 99 per cent of the eighth grade students in Finland are involved in art testers. The project seeks to overcome all barriers to participation so that young people can take part in. - We want to bring all the eighth graders to the arts. Different learners can participate equally, says Anu-Maarit Moilanen, Co-ordinator for Art testers from the Association of Children's Culture Centers in Finland.
