Sámi Cultural Environment Unit becomes part of Sámi Museum Siida´s permanent activities
In its meeting on 12 February 2015, the Board of the Sámi Museum Foundation decided to declare the posts of an archaeologist and a researcher in the Cultural Environment Unit vacant.
The Sámi Museum Siida has been granted a state subsidy of two extra man-years by the Ministry of Education and Culture in order to make the Cultural Environment Unit permanently part of the Museum. The decision of the Ministry is welcomed by the Sámi Museum Siida. The Cultural Environment Unit that was established under the auspices of the Sámi Museum in 2011 has so far relied on project funds in its operations.
