Open seminar on minorities and community art
Helsinki Kunsthalle organises an open seminar on minorities and community art 15. April 3 PM - 5 PM
The seminar examines minority groups and diversity from the perspective of contemporary art, community art and museums.
The invited keynote speaker is Ian Hunter, a pioneer of community art from UK. Comments will be presented by Irja Seurujärvi-Kari, Vice-President of the Sami Parliament of Finland and Maija Lukkari, and by Katri Hirvonen-Nurmi, anthropologist and curator at the Helinä Rautavaara Museum.
The seminar is organised with the support of the British Council. The language of the seminar is English.
This open seminar is part of the events programm of Lea and Pekka Kantonen's exhibition Ripples at Home.
