Accessible Arts Event: Club Utopia in Helsinki
ABOUT UTOPIA
Accessible
culture for everyone! Utopia Helsinki starts in 2011 and organises
concerts, clubs, workshops and courses that are accessible to everyone.
You can breakdance in a wheelchair and spin records without hands!
The
first Utopia of the year takes place on 12. February at the Happi youth
centre on Sörnäisten Rantatie 31, Helsinki, where good shaking and pogoing is
guaranteed by the artist Siiri Nordin and the band Pertti Kurikan
Nimipäivät as well as dj Spelpojke and Peijakas! dj's Lady Chatterleyn
rakastaja and Stuffin' Muffins. The clubs are accessible, alcohol free
and open to all ages and EVERYONE.
In addition, Utopia clubs are queer friendly and organised according to safer spaces policies.
Are
you interested in getting involved in Utopia? We need help with
organising and sign language interpreting, dj's, facilitators for
workshops and courses, performers and what ever you can think of!
Everybody can join!
