A Finnish project develops cultural services for groups with special needs

The city of Salo administers a project called "Hymykuopat" ("Dimples", 1.10.2009 - 30.6.2012), which develops the service production between municipalities and the third sector of the culture field in five different cities. There are 11 associations involved in the project, both professional artist associations and local heritage associations. Different service structures are pursued for example in the fields of applied dance, literary art and electronic media. The target groups include senior citizens, inhabitants of different institutions, children with learning disabilities and people living in scattered settlement regions.
