Sami artivism is examined in a new dissertation
Moa Sandström defended her dissertation on the subject of Sami studies at Umeå University with the dissertation Dekoloniseringskonst: Artivism i 2010-talets Sápmi (PDF).
Sandström studies the works and activities of four contemporary Sami artists with a special focus on the relationship between Sweden and Sápmi and art activism (artivism) in relation to the concept of decolonization.
