Daria Agapova is a museum educator and a curator of educational projects, including the festival “Children’s Days in St Petersburg”, in which more than 50 museums have participated annually for already 15 years. She is a Master in Art History (European University in St Petersburg) and ICOME member. She was a co-organizer of US–Russia Participatory Museum project and an editor of “Participatory Culture: Museum as a Forum for Dialogue and Collaboration”. Currently, she is working on “Mediation as a Means of Inclusion” programme, aiming to implement approaches of art mediation into community engagement work.
She is an author of several guidebooks for St Petersburg museums; a visual storytelling book Queen of Tulips: Journey through Hermitage (co-authored with Varvara Pomidor); articles in leading Russian professional editions Museum in the Education Space, World of Museum, Museum. She was an art section editor in Time Out St Petersburg magazine and an author for St Petersburg Times, the Hermitage magazine, Museum, Autoportret (Krakow).
